After I complete the course how will I receive the point reduction? |
|
DMV will be notified by us that you have completed the course. A notation is entered on your driving record. Once the notation is added on your record up to 4 points will be subtracted when calculating your points.
NY - up to 4 points - as long as you have points (You can not use these points for future points resulting from traffic infractions)
NJ - up to 2 points - as long as you have points. (You can not use these points for future points resulting from traffic infractions) |

How often can I take this course for Point Reduction? |
|
In New York - Once in any 18 month period for point reduction.
In New Jersey- Once in any 60 month period for point reduction. |

How does the insurance reduction work? |
|
After you complete the class, you will receive a certificate of completion. Once you submit your certificate to the insurance company they will issue you an insurance reduction of up to 10% off the base liability, personal injury protection and collision. |

How long does the discount last? |
|
The insurance discount is available for three (3) consecutive years. |

Who is eligible to receive the discount? |

Any principal operator that completes our defensive driving class |

What if more than one person named on the insurance policy completes the course? |
|
The reduction applies to vehicles principally operated by the motorist that completes our course. The discount may only be applied once for each covered vehicle. |

What Vehicles are covered by the discount? |
|
The discount applies to private passenger automobiles. The discount does not apply to commercially insured automobiles . |

Is payment on your site secure? |

Yes. We use a Thawte 128-bit secure certificate to protect sensitive data to and from the server and web browser.
Your credit card number is not stored in our database. We keep on file the card type and expiration date in cases where we need to verify the card that was used.
Once your payment information is transmitted to our servers for processing, it is further protected by strong encryption with the payment processor Linkpoint. If the payment is authorized a unique identification number is generated for your order. It contains no identifiable link to the credit card number.

Why do I need an account to enroll?

Your account will keep track of your upcoming classes, classes you have completed, and your mailing address. You only need to enter this information once. Your credit card information is NOT stored in our system. |

Will you give or sell my account information to other companies? |
|
No, your information is for private use only. |

What can I use as a password for my account? |
|
You can use almost anything you like for a password. Your password must contain alphanumeric characters only and for security reasons must be at least 4 characters long.
However, passwords are case-sensitive, which means "password" and "Password" are not treated the same. |

What if I forget my account password, or need to change it? |
|
If you forget your password, you can have a new one re-sent to the e-mail address you provided us by visiting this page. We do not know what your password is - our system stores it in a one-way encrypted format, meaning that once it is stored it cannot be decrypted. Therefore, if you ever forget your password, it will be reset using an algorithm to of random alphanumeric characters.
